China is currently poised to be the world’s largest and fastest growing single market for agarwood, as it is known in the world’s most populous nation. Demand for agarwood and agarwood products has grown exponentially in China in recent years.
At an estimated USD3-5 billion domestic market value, China is now the single largest market for this rare, scented amd precious wood and its end products; everything from oud oil to carved sculptures are in demand. APC has embarked on a joint venture with China’s Hua Lin aloes Biological Engineering Co. Ltd., to install and operate an advanced oud oil distillation factory, as well as to manage an existing wood chip and incense manufacturing and packaging factory.
